Guns N’ Roses Covered AC/DC At Coachella Giving Axl Rose A Chance To Practice His New Role

Earlier today it was announced that Axl Rose would definitely be fronting AC/DC for the rest of their Rock Or Bust tour and within hours we’ve already had a sneak-peak of what it will be like.

Guns N’ Roses performed a mighty headline set at Coachella and took a brief break from their own material to cover AC/DC with guitarist Angus Young stepping out on stage for the occasion.

They covered both Whole Lotta Rosie and Riff Raff as Rose sat on his throne, lent to him by Dave Grohl, with a broken foot.

AC/DC will kick-off the rest of their tour with Rose out front in May. This was a good opportunity for Rose to get some practice in, albeit on one the biggest stages in the world.

The AC/DC covers weren’t the only songs they performed outside of their own discography. The recently reunited band also took on Wings, Misfits, The Who and Bob Dylan covers over the course of the 25 songs set. They concluded the triumphant performance with Paradise City. Check out the whole set list below.

It capped-off a surprise filled day at Coachella. Kesha made her live re-appearance with Zedd, Run The Jewels brought out Nas and Ice Cube reunited N.W.A. which is not bad for just one day of the three day festival.
