Everyone knows that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has a big mouth.
Holy shit just look at that thing… His poor dentist.
But the Demon Of Screamin’ may have bitten off more than he could chew when he claimed credit for the recently announced Guns N’ Roses reunion.
Appearing on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show earlier this week, Tyler claimed that he himself was to thank (blame?) for getting the key Gunners trio of Axl Rose, Slash & Duff back together.
“I did meet Axl in a couple of clubs, a year ago, two years ago, three years ago, and I’d bump into him and I’d have that talk,” Tyler confided to Stern (via Consequence Of Sound). “I said, ‘You need to get the fuck back together again soon, because we all miss you’.”
“…I’d say to Axl, ‘You’ve gotta get together. There’s a place and time where if you don’t, you’re gonna miss it’,” he continued. “And in another four or five years, no one’s gonna even know who they were or care if they’re on tour…”
But apparently the Gunners themselves didn’t share Tyler’s same belief that he played a key role in their decision to reunite.
Taking to Twitter, they laid some double talkin’ jive on the rock legend-turned American Idol judge:

Welcome to the Jungle, Steven. There’s plenty of shade.
Meanwhile, Dead Daisies members Richard Fortus and Dizzy Reed have just left that band for a “momentous project in 2016” (which is widely believed to be Guns N’ Roses).
Axl, Slash and Duff are – so far – the only original members to be confirmed for the band’s reunion show at Coachella, although fan favourite Izzy Stradlin is also rumoured to be involved.
More Guns N’ Roses tour dates are expected to be announced very soon. Fingers crossed Australia is on the itinerary!
