Any fans who were disappointed that their beloved Gwar were left out of the Soundwave chaos can now relax. AJ Maddah has just confirmed that the band will be coming Down Under next year on their own tour.
While we can’t confirm that it will be a headlining run of shows, or part of an even bigger event, we can confirm that it will be next year and that it will most likely be with their forthcoming album. So it’s looking like Australia will be first in line to witness tracks of what the band have described as “The best album we’ve ever written“.
The band were last here for No Sleep Til, the once-off anti-Soundwave festival a couple of years back. Since then, the band have scaled further and further up to the highest echelons of metal. Some of that could be accredited to their highly articulate frontman, Oderus Urungus, who’s not afraid to say it like it is, (think HellYeah! Rob Zombie and Dave Mustaine.
Given the nature of the band, it’s sure to be an absolutely huge gig, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates, sure to come soon.
