Halsey‘s new album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power is set to arrive tomorrow (27th August), and while we knew that it was produced by Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the record’s personnel is even more star-studded than we originally thought.
As Stereogum reports, the biggest names on the contributor list are Dave Grohl (who plays drums on album track ‘honey’) and Lindsey Buckingham (who played guitar on a song called ‘Darling’).
Elsewhere on the album’s credits are Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, who contributed guitar to a song called ‘You asked for this’, and Jack Dangers of Meat Beat Manifesto did some programming on the track ‘Girl Is a Gun’. British producer Kevin Martin, aka The Bug, is credited with providing the beat for ‘Bells in Santa Fe’, and prolific session bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Karriem Riggins performed on ‘Lilith’.
If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power will mark Halsey’s fourth studio album, following on from 2020’s Manic. It will arrive alongside an accompanying film, also titled If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which will be set to music from the album.
The film was written by Halsey herself and directed by Colin Tilley, who, aside from collaborating with Halsey in the past, has directed music videos for Justin Bieber to Kendrick Lamar to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s ‘WAP’.
