Over the past few months, The Simpsons and Spinal Tap star Harry Shearer has been releasing a song each week on YouTube in which he performs as Donald Trump, in an effort to “explore the dark and often comical recesses of the president’s mind during his time in office.”
Now, Shearer has revealed that the complete, 13-track collection will be released as a full album titled The Many Moods of Donald Trump on Friday, 30th October – three days before the US goes to the polls.
“America has never had a President so demanding of our continued attention. I decided to give him too much of mine,” commented Shearer in a press release.
The announcement coincides with a new track and video called ‘Executive Time’, an ambling ballad that sees Shearer, as Trump, singing about long periods of downtime, contemplation and boredom between briefings in the Oval Office.
The accompanying video sees Trump watch TV, practice his golf swing and stare aimlessly. The video was filmed with Shearer in isolation in Los Angeles, filmed remotely by Matt Mindlin with a production team in Sydney, Australia.
