Harry Styles‘ debut Coachella appearance, a headlining set last Friday (April 15), included a lot of surprises. Among those were the singer bringing out none other than Shania Twain to perform covers of Twain’s classics ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’ and ‘You’re Still the One’.
“In the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing. She also told me that men are trash,” Styles said when introducing Twain (via Pitchfork). “To you, to the memories you gave me with my mother, I will be forever grateful. I’m so grateful you’re with us here tonight. This is very special for me.”
Elsewhere during the set, Styles gave the live debut of his latest single ‘As It Was’ which arrived earlier this month. He performed two unreleased songs; ‘Boyfriends’ and ‘Late Night Talking’ along with a rendition of One Direction’s 2011 hit ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. You can catch footage of some of those moments below.
‘As It Was’ – and presumably ‘Boyfriends’ and ‘Late Night Talking’ – will appear on Styles’ forthcoming third album, Harry’s House. The follow-up to 2019’s Fine Line is set to arrive on Friday, 20th May.
