Harry Styles Returns To Acting For Psychological Thriller ‘Don’t Worry Darling’

Harry Styles is returning to cinema for the first time since 2017, having been confirmed to act in a new film called Don’t Worry Darling.

The movie is being directed by Olivia Wilde, and The Hollywood Reporter confirming Styles is set to replace Shai LaBeouf, who was previously attached to play his character but had to depart due to scheduling conflicts.

The confirmed cast for the film, being described as a psychological thriller, including Florence Pugh, Chris Pyne and Dakota Johnson.

It will be only Styles’ second feature acting role, after he debuted in Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed 2017 film Dunkirk.

Details about the plot of the film are pretty sparse at the moment, but we do know it will be set in an isolated California Desert utopian community, in the 1950s.

It follows as a housewife discovers a disturbing truth about her apparently perfect reality. The screenplay was written by Katie Silberman.

As it stands, Harry Styles is set to arrive in Australia in just a couple of months, with arena dates scheduled in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

That’s despite the fact that pretty much all international acts have called off their Aussie tours for the remainder of 2020, as COVID-19 travel restrictions remain in place.

However, Ticketek Australia is maintaining that the tour will proceed as planned, responding to several queries about the dates over the past day or so.

“The Harry Styles Australia & New Zealand tour is proceeding as planned and we are excited to welcome everyone to the events in November and December. In the event of a cancellation, exchanges and refunds will be processed according to AU/NZ consumer law,” the seller said.

Stay prepared for the potential (but unlikely) tour by catching up on the recently-released Lost Tour Visual video for ‘Watermelon Sugar’:
