UPDATE: The Splendour In The Grass 2015 lineup is here !
Just shortly after the organisers announced the official lineup for Splendour In The Grass 2015 will be arriving next week, savvy Twitter users may have spotted a lineup leak, allegedly posted on the official Splendour Spotify account.
Several users have posted images of a playlist titled “Splendour 2015 Lineup” to social media, which looks to have been created by the official Splendour In The Grass Spotify account. When searched by Music Feeds the playlist was not live.
One Twitter user @hamishp tweeted upon spotting the alleged leak, “@sitg are accidentally leaking the Splendour lineup on Spotify… forgot to put the playlist on private.” They then tweeted a series of images which showed songs being added to the playlist.
Songs featured in the final list include those by Florence + The Machine, Blur, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala, The Wombats, Death Cab For Cutie, Of Monsters and Men plus The Dandy Warhols and Royal Blood. Most of those acts have been hotly tipped to be playing the 2015 festival in Byron Bay this July, as picked in our Rumour Roundup gallery .
UPDATE: Geelong Advertiser reporter Patrick Naughtin tweeted that Pond had also been added to the list.
Two acts in that list not featured in the Rumour Roundup gallery — The Dandy Warhols and Royal Blood — both toured Australia very recently, are already playing a variety of international festivals this year and currently have gaps in the international tour schedule around Splendour time.
Is this the real deal? We’re not sure, but it looks pretty good, doesn’t it? Of course, if it is legit, there’s bound to be many more artists added to the list when the official confirmation comes. Music Feeds has contacted Splendour In The Grass for comment.
The actual announcement will come next week — Wednesday, 13th April to be exact — when the Splendour 2015 lineup and information about tickets is announced. Get excited — whatever happens, it’s sure to be a big one.

Splendour 2015 Rumours
Florence And The Machine
Florence + The Machine: Florence Welch and co are set to perform at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival, a bellwether of lineups gone by. The band haven't toured Australia since 2012, and when they did they were headlining Splendour. They're readying their third studio album for pre-Splendour release in May.
The Wombats
The Wombats: The British marsupials let slip (seemingly accidentally) that they'd be returning to our shores in July armed with their brand new album, 'Glitterbug'. Throw in the fact that the Liverpudlians are Splendour alumni, circa 2008, and it all seems elementary, my dear Wombats.

MØ: Danish singer songwriter MØ took to Facebook last month to say that she “can’t wait to play for you in July”, referring, of course, to Aussie fans who helped her collaborative single with Major Lazer, Lean On, go to #1 on the charts. Only time will tell if that little slip up was actually a primer for Splendour's official announcement.
Mark Ronson Facebook
Mark Ronson: During his last visit Down Under, the DJ superstar hinted that he'd be back for round two, mid-year. He also performed an exclusive DJ set in Sydney presented by Splendour promoters, Secret Sounds. Coincidence?
Marina And The Diamonds
Marina & The Diamonds: Marina Diamandis recently told Music Feeds she has Australian tour plans, but wouldn't divulge any details. It looks like there might be just enough room in her tour schedule for an Aussie visit this July, and Splendour would certainly make for a pretty sweet setting for her glittering new indie-pop offering, 'FROOT'.
Catfish And The Bottlemen
Catfish And The Bottlemen: Welsh rockers Catfish And The Bottlemen played their debut Australian headline shows earlier this year as their toured in support of The Kooks. The band seemed to genuinely enjoy their Aussie stay, and with a slot of Fuji Rock lined up, they might just take the opportunity to return for another round.
Johnny Marr
Johnny Marr: After cancelling an earlier Australian tour this year, the former Smiths guitarist has rescheduled his headline tour with new dates that fall right around Splendour. He's no stranger to the Aussie festival circuit either, having played Falls Festival and Southbound last year.
Ryan Adams 2014
Ryan Adams: Fellow Fuji Rock act Ryan Adams is also due for an Aussie jaunt, having last toured the country in 2012. With a massive discography behind him and a previous Splendour slot under his belt, we're barracking for Adams' blend of punk, rock, and alt-country to make its way to Splendour this year.
Death Cab For Cutie 2014
Death Cab For Cutie: The American alternative rock favourites are set for a big return this year with the release of brand new album, 'Kintsugi'. They've just announced a massive suite of tour dates stretching across the US, UK and Europe between now and October, but they've neglected Australia, with a curious gap in the itinerary bang on Splendour O'Clock.
Tame Impala 2015 1
Tame Impala: The Aussie psych-rockers' hotly anticipated new record, 'Currents', is due to drop later this year. The band has yet to announce any homecoming tour dates, but they've left a suspicious, Splendour-sized hole in their international touring schedule.
Blur
Blur: Blur are on the cusp of releasing their first new album in 12 years, 'The Magic Whip', and have already announced a London show and a set at the Isle Of Wight festival in June, sparking hopes of a Splendour set especially after they famously cancelled their 2014 Big Day Out headline slot.
Rosie Lowe
Rosie Lowe: In February, UK musician Rosie Lowe revealed she is coming to Australia in winter for a number of festivals. She said she wasn't sure which ones, but Splendour seems likely; Lowe's Aussie PR is being handled by Secret Service Publicity, who are closely associated with Splendour In The Grass.
FKA Twigs
FKA twigs: The recent laneway darling closed out her Sydney sideshow with the words, "see you soon” and given that she's also playing Fuji Rock, it wouldn't be too hard to follow through on that promise.
kdl press shot1.jp2
Kitty, Daisy & Lewis: This band of siblings say they'll be spending most of 2015 on the road, and are hoping to return to Australia. With a Fuji Rock slot on the horizon, that return trip might come sooner than expected.
Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey: Lana Del Rey teased us with a late 2014 Australian tour that never eventuated. That could be different this year, seeing that she's at work on her highly-anticipated fourth studio album and currently has a gap in her tour schedule around Splendour.
Royksopp Robyn
Royksopp + Robyn: They left many a fan facing crippling disappointment when earlier this year they pulled the plug on their Falls Festival appearance and headline tour. A set at Splendour would be a nice way to make amends.
The Bohicas
The Bohicas: The indie-rock four-piece from Essex played their first-ever Australian shows in June 2014, in support of their debut EP. The boys have no doubt been working on more new tunes, and with a Fuji Rock slot locked in, an appearance at this year's Splendour In The Grass would definitely fit the bill.
The Districts
The Districts: Currently riding the 'next big thing' bus, this exciting Pennsylvanian four-piece seem like suitable Splendour material. The group released their second album 'A Flourish and a Spoil' in February, are ready to kick ass at Fuji Rock. Will they make that extra flight down under?
The Rubens
The Rubens: Australia's alternative sons are primed for a banger 2015, with plans to release the long-awaited follow-up to their celebrated 2012 debut LP "in time to do Splendour in the Grass". While that's not a confirmation, we're keeping our fingers crossed.
Frankocean
Frank Ocean: 2015 could be the year Frank Ocean finally makes his Splendour appearance, having pulled out of the festival in 2013 due to vocal chord damage. The timing would work too, given that he's eying a July release for his much-anticipated new album.
Jack White
Jack White: Jack White is well overdue for an Australian visit to showcase his 2014 release 'Lazaretto'. He's already doing the festival circuit with a recent appearance at Lollapalooza South America, an upcoming stop at Coachella and has a healthy Splendour-sized hole in his schedule.
Max Frost Press 2013 650
Max Frost: Austin-based muso Max Frost was rumoured for the 2014 Splendour lineup, but that didn't eventuate. This year, though, he performed at Secret Sounds’ Splendour and Falls Festival SXSW showcase, making him a strong contender for this year's SITG lineup.
of Monsters and Men Press 2015
Of Monsters and Men: Of Monsters And Men played Splendour In The Grass back in 2013, and their slot at this year's Fuji Rock bodes well for another Australian festival tour. The Icelandic folk-pop outfit are releasing their second album, 'Beneath the Skin', this June, meaning new festival-ready material won't be in short supply.
The Vaccines
The Vaccines: Australia has remained immune from a Vaccines tour since early 2013. Currently preparing to release their third album in May, and with Fuji Rock slowly approaching, the band might just find it in themselves to provide the antidote for Australia's immunity this July.
