Hayden James Is Live Streaming DJ Sets Every Weekend From His Backyard

Sydney songwriter and producer Hayden James is the latest artist to have found a digital alternative to the live stage, after being forced to postpone a swath of planned tour dates as a result of coronavirus concern.

James took to Instagram earlier today to announce that he’ll be performing live streamed DJ sets from his backyard in Sydney for hte foreseeable future, every Saturday at midday, Australian time, over at his YouTube channel.

James released his debut studio album, the vibey deep house collection Between Us back in June of last year, and spent the summer on the festival circuit performing at the likes of Beyond the Valley, Field Day and For the Love.

Of course, James is far from the only artist to have announced some live streamed gigs in an attempt to lift spirits during this colossally bizarre time. From Coldplay’s Chris Martin, to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, to metalcore outfit Code Orange, it seems like it’ll be an increasingly popular option as we all practice social distancing.

Check out an Instagram post from James announcing the series below.
