Prince’s estate is ramping up to release an expanded edition of his album 1999, and in advance of the full release a track called ‘Don’t Let Him Fool Ya’ has dropped.
The deluxe edition of the album will include the track, as well as several other previously unreleased songs from the vault.
‘Don’t Let Him Fool Ya’ was recorded by Prince in his home studio in Minnesota in the summer of 1982, with help from sound engineer Don Batts.
Despite being recorded just months before 1999 was originally released, the track never made the track list.
The 1999 re-issue is set for release on November 29, 2019, and includes a massive 23 never-before heard tracks.
It will be available in three different formats, with the physical versions also including an unreleased live recording of a concert at Houston Summit during the album tour in December of 1982.
