DREAMCAR, the new supergroup featuring Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young of No Doubt alongside AFI‘s Davey Havok have unveiled their latest new single ‘All The Dead Girls’.
It follows on from the previous singles ‘Kill For Candy‘ and ‘Born To Lie’, released in a slow drip feed of material from the new group.
It’s easily the most power-poppy release we’ve heard so far, and you can definitely hear the ’80s influence referenced by Tony Kanal in his Rolling Stone interview recently.
“There are a lot of things on the album that are Eighties-influenced,” he said. “But I feel like what we’ve created is something very fresh and new, too. You have to find that balance, and I think we’ve achieved that.
‘All The Dead Girls’ is also another clear indication that the up-beat and catchy style of DREAMCAR is going to be vastly removed from the stylistic tendencies of AFI and No Doubt.
The group’s first full length LP is due to be released Friday, 12th May.
