Former and sort-of current Paramore drummer Zac Farro has just dished up a brand new single under his solo alias HalfNoise, which just so happens to feature his old pal Hayley Williams.

Dubbed ‘As U Wave’, the chiller duet has been sliced off HalfNoise’s just-dropped The Velvet Face EP, and its arrival comes as the world waits patiently for brand new Paramore material to drop.
ICYMI: Farro reunited with Paramore to record their forthcoming fifth studio LP but confirmed he hadn’t actually officially rejoined the band.
“They’ve asked me to play drums on their album, on their new album,” he told Idobi in an interview. “So [Hayley Williams] put it on their Instagram and put it on their website, and it’s no joke that I’m back just playing drums for them on their album alongside with doing my HalfNoise stuff. That’s it, and that’s literally all it is right now.
“No one’s really asked cause I’ve kind of deterred the question, but I’m doing HalfNoise – that’s my band,” he continued. “They’ve asked me to drum, and it was like, ‘Yeah, of course!’ We’ve always been friends, and yeah, there was a little bit of weirdness cause I left the band for a few years, but all that stuff is not even there anymore and there’s no hard feelings and it’s just been rad and fun.”
Farro also has a few songwriting credits on a list of 12 new Paramore song titles which recently appeared online, lodged on ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) ACE Repertory’s website.
The leak prompted fans to expect new Paramore material to drop imminently.
