Bleachers have unveiled a new single Don’t Take The Money and it features some backing vocal work by our favourite Kiwi Lorde.
Bleachers is led by Jack Antonoff who is the producer behind Lorde’s forthcoming album Melodrama and it seems he’s recruiting her for his own work too.
Lorde delivers backing vocals in the latter parts of the anthemic pop song which is presumably taken from a forthcoming second Bleachers record.
It follows on from 2014’s Strange Desire record. Since then, Antonoff has become one of the most sought after producers in pop music. He worked on Taylor Swift’s 1989, wrote with Sia and also had a songwriting credit on Troye Sivan’s album.
It’s a big, booming pop song and while it’s not likely to be an indication of what Lorde’s album will sound like, it’s always good to hear that voice in any capacity.
