Two of your favourite pop femmes have teamed up for a brand new tune. Homegrown heroine Sia and US anti-popstar P!nk (who plenty of y’all wish we could adopt as one of our own, admit it) have joined forces with Norwegian super-producer duo Stargate, and the results are the smexy new single ‘Waterfall’.
Stargate’s CV is already v. impressive, having their hands all over chart-smashing tunes like Beyoncé’s ‘Irreplaceable’, Rihanna’s ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ and ‘Diamonds’ and Fifth Harmony’s ‘Worth It’, and this newbie will no doubt be the latest addition to their arsenal of blockbuster pop bangers.
‘Waterfall’ sees P!nk and Sia trade husky pipes across the verses, pre-choruses and choruses (a fairly democratic split of vocal duties) over a danceable beat, sweeping synths and wall of spasmodic production.
According to Digital Spy, Sia was the one to make the collab happen, with the Aussie bringing P!nk on board for the song, which she also co-wrote with Diplo and Jr Blender.
