Hellions have drawn their lines and prepared their war plans as they march onwards to album #3. Today, the band have sent forth the crows with news of said album which will be known as Opera Oblivia. The band will also be embarking on a run of headline dates in its good name.
Kicking things off in Melbourne on Friday, 29th July, Hellions will also make their way to stages in Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
The news comes with official visuals for their current and absolutely huge single Quality Of Life. Hellions have kept things nice and simple for the official visuals, leaving it to the track and its mountain of a chorus to do the heavy lifting – which it does. Time and time again.
Come Friday, 29th July, it’s looking like we can expect a fairly loaded release from the band. Whereas an album name usually carries little weight, if any, Opera (Plural of opus, meaning work of art) and Oblivia (A passive state of forgetfulness) bear a tonne of sub-context.
Hellions plan to make fans think again with the new album. Rather than simply chucking a slam of tune to the wolves, it feels like the lads have planned their Normandy Invasion with Opera Oblivia. And it’s been in play for sometime now with Quality Of Life being the official Act I.
