It’s that time of year again. The Australian Music Prize have revealed the 107 albums that have made the nominations list for the coveted award and $30,000 prize money.
There are some fan favourites in there, like Thelma Plum’s Better In Blak, Alex Lahey’s The Best Of Luck Club, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s Fishing For Fishies and plenty more. But there are also some records from buzzing up-and-coming acts like Sports Bra, Rainbow Chan, Sarah Mary Chadwick and more.
From these 107 nominees, forty judges will listen to their albums over and over again to cull it down to a shortlist of just nine. Then, in March, the judges will meet to announce the winner, who will receive $30,000.
