Ausmusic Month is here, and with it comes the nominees for the 15th annual J Awards.
A chance to celebrate the creative efforts of our homegrown acts, there’s some strong showings in all categories this year. For instance, this year’s Album of the Year shortlist includes Thelma Plum‘s excellent debut album Better In Blak, Stella Donnelly‘s potent Beware Of The Dogs and Northlane‘s metalcore opus Alien, while the likes of Julia Jacklin, King Gizzard and Sampa the Great are all Double J Artist of the Year nominees.
This year, in addition to the album, artist and music video awards, triple j have added a new category called the You Done Good awards, which shine a light on those who have made a positive impact on the country’s music industry through their actions and activism.
Check out the full nominee list below. Veronica & Lewis will announce the winners of this year’s J Awards on triple j from 4pm, Thursday 21st November.
