Amazon has continued its expansion into Australia by revealing when its Amazon Music Unlimited streaming service will launch down under, as well as how much it will cost.
The service, which will compete with industry heavyweights Spotify and Apple Music, will launch in Australia and New Zealand launch on Thursday, 1st February, with a free 90-day trial available for a limited time.
Here are the three monthly plan options:
- The Echo Plan: $4.99 per month on a single Amazon Echo, Echo Dot or Echo Plus
- The Individual Plan: $11.99 per month
- The Family Plan: $17.99 per month for up to six members
Amazon says Amazon Music Unlimited boasts over 45 million songs, as well as hundreds of playlists and personalised stations and Alexa integration.
Amazon Music’s Head Of International Expansion, Sean McMullan says Amazon and Alexa are “opening doors for our customers to have access to an incredible catalogue of music, and to be able to listen to some of their favourite artists while using the power of voice in exciting new ways”.
Amazon Music will be available in Australia on iOS, Android, PC, Mac and on any web browser.
