Melbourne rock n’ roll den Cherry Bar have just pulled the pin on the first lineup announcement for their annual riff fest Cherry Rock.
The 2017 instalment will be gatecrashed by a slew of heavy duty international acts, including legendary San Francisco garage punks The Dwarves in the headlining slot.
Their southern rock/psychobilly countrymen Nashville Pussy will also be making the trek Down Under for the AC/DC Lane fest, together with Spain’s Bala, Sweden’s Bottlecap and two Indonesian acts in Mooner and Kelompok Penerbang Roket.
As always, there’ll also be a potent local contingent to boot, including Wollongong’s Totally Unicorn, sexy psych-blues kids Child, amazingly-named lo-fi garage punksters Amyl & The Sniffers, Stiff Richards, and 2016 Cherry Awards Act of the Year, Zombitches.
Plus there’s plenty more aces up the festival’s sleeve, so stay tuned for the full lineup announcement, coming soon.
Now celebrating its 11th birthday, Cherry Rock will take over AC/DC Lane once again on Sunday, 7th May, 2017.
