Prince fans will soon be able to flock to the iconic musician’s legendary Paisley Park estate when it officially re-launches as a Graceland-style museum.
But before the musical mecca officially opens its doors to the public, we’ve been given a sneak peek into the sprawling mansion and recording studio that conceals a trove of Prince’s treasures, thanks to NBC’s Today program.
A guided video tour from the folks at Today (below) has offered fans an exclusive glimpse inside The Purple One’s massive studios (where handwritten notes have been left untouched since he passed away earlier this year), the ‘Purple Rain Room’ (which contains memorabilia from the movie and album of the same name) and the ‘NPG Music Club’, where Prince entertained friends and guests.
The guided video tour arrives a month after more details emerged about the contents of Prince’s iconic estate, including pages and pages of handwritten lyrics, thousands of vintage, custom outfits (one of them being his 2007 Superbowl performance getup) and a secret room filled with immeasurable unreleased video footage and music.
Prince also supposedly left intricate instructions detailing how he would like Paisley Park to be transformed into a museum after he died, so it seems like his wish is finally set to come true.
If you can put up with presenter Al Roker, enjoy the world’s first look inside Paisley Park in the video, below.
