Here’s A Snippet Of INXS Legend Michael Hutchence’s Posthumous New Single, ‘Kik It’

A cheeky snippet of a never-before-heard Michael Hutchence song has appeared on the internet.

The sound clip features 11 seconds of a previously unreleased solo track from the departed INXS icon dubbed Kik It, and it’s packing some heavy, new wavey sort of vibes.

As News Corp reports, Kik It will form the first single from a collection of 15 unheard tracks that Hutchence recorded shortly before he died, which is set to be released next year by Sydney businessman Ron Creevey and LA producer Danny Saber.

“[Hutchence] named it and this was his favourite song. Kik It is very rock,” Creevey told AAP.

“It’s going to be the first single. We’re still playing around with it and will release it between November and January.”

Creevey and Saber are also producing a new documentary about the iconic frontman’s life, which they reckon will be finished by November ahead of a 2017 release, to mark the 20th anniversary of Hutchence’s death.

“This is a story about how Michael lived and still everything I ever hear … relates to how Michael died,” Creevey said.

Meanwhile, INXS manager Chris “CM” Murphy also recently revealed he was making a documentary on Hutchence’s life, so it’ll be interesting to see how the two flicks measure up.

In other news, INXS recently revealed that they were keen to make new music and start playing live again.

While you wait for that to happen, you can get your ears on a snippet of Hutchence’s posthumous new single Kik It, below.
