Mates, if you’re Splendour-bound this weekend, you might want to bring something warm.
As the festival approaches and set times have been revealed, the only thing left to do is sort your wardrobe and pack your bags – that’s where the weather comes in.
The latest from the Bureau of Meteorology is that it’ll be a mostly sunny (and partially cloudy) few days for the Northern Rivers area, with a very low chance of rain. During the day we’re seeing a maximum temperature that sits around the 20 degree mark, with minimums of 11-13, so you’ll want to bring a jacket or two for the later sets in the evening.
Come nightfall proper, however, it’s going to be bloody freezing. The BOM says overnight temperatures will fall between 4-12, so you’ll want to make sure you’re all rugged up for when the sun goes down.
Take a look at the forecast below (the BOM have not yet provided detailed information regarding Sunday’s conditions.) You can stay up to date by checking the Bureau’s forecast here as it updates closer to the weekend.
Splendour in the Grass takes place from Friday, 19th July to Sunday, 21st July. The lineup includes Chance the Rapper, Tame Impala, Childish Gambino, SZA, Courtney Barnett and plenty more.
If you’ve decided to skip the weather altogether and stay home this weekend, triple j will be broadcasting live from the festival all weekend – head here to check the broadcast times.
