The event will feature high-profile speakers across a broad conference program plus about 500 local and international music and arts industry professionals and an incredible array of musical talent.
Also taking the stage at this year’s event will be Australian reggae pioneer Bart Willoughby, Brisbane-based new wave brass band Bullhorn, Adelaide producer and MC Jimblah , soul singer Ms Murphy and Melbourne independent act Pierce Brothers.
Representing the international contingent will be Canada’s indie roots outfit Digging Roots, skilled US outfit Nahko & The Medicine for the People plus New Zealand’s Estere and Myele Manzanza.
The artists will be performing at various showcases held in Melbourne venues this November including The Arts Centre Melbourne, The Hi-Fi, The Toff, Ding Dong Lounge, Shebeen and Lounge. More local and international acts will be joining the AWME 2014 lineup in the coming weeks along with the announcement of the event’s high-profile keynote speakers.
