Hiatus Kaiyote To Head Sonic Architects National Conference Tour

Sonic Architects National Conference organisers have announced they will take four of the country’s hottest artists on the road this November and December for a nationwide tour. Proudly supported by Music Feeds, the stellar lineup includes Hiatus Kaiyote, Remi, Kirkis, and Silent Jay & Jace XL.

Melbourne’s own Hiatus Kaiyote have managed to pack a lot into a very short space of time, having received props from the likes of Questlove and Q-Tip, and been nominated for a Grammy. Now, the group are busy working on their second LP for what they’ve told Music Feeds is an expected early 2015 release.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Melbourne emcee Remi has quickly made his mark on the Australian hip-hop scene and seems to getting more and more international attention with each release. Joining these two will be the six-piece synth extravaganza that is Kirkis, led by Aussie multi-instrumentalist Matthew Kirkis.

Lastly, Silentjay will be bringing his innovative, multi-instrumental production talents to the conference stages. He’s sure to wow audiences with his unique blend of shoegaze, soul, and hip-hop. Silentjay, real name Alejandro Jay Abapo, will be joined onstage by Hiatus Kaiyote and Kirkis’ backing vocalist, Jace XL.

Organisers have gone to great lengths to curate a lineup made up of disparate styles, sounds, and genres, but with a roster of artists that each share a forward-thinking musical vision. Over four hours, these artists will display what makes them some of the most exciting prospects in Aussie music and punters can expect plenty of exciting onstage collaborations, surprise guests, as well as a whole lot more.
