Boutique camping festival The Hills Are Alive has just dropped the full line-up for this year’s events, as well as announcing the first ever public ticket release for the once invite only festival. But more on that later, first the line up.
Having already announced some impressive acts including Ngaiire, Bad//Dreams, The Belligerents and Fraser A Gorman, joining the team are Grenadiers, Running Touch, Arthur Penn and the Funky Ten, Venus Court and festival stalwarts and crowd favourites Fossil Fuel, who will be making their 7th appearance.
With a total of 24 acts announced, there is a ‘Special Guest Comedian’ still to be revealed.
The festival has previously operated on an invite only system where you either need to be invited by someone who has attended before or one of the artists playing (who will whisper you the Farmer’s Secret Password), but 2016 marks the first year the event will be open to the general public.
With a limited allocation made available, however, it’s not likely to be overrun, the organisers obviously keen to keep their reputation for a good vibin’ crowd, the event still being BYO.
Taking place over three days and two nights over the Easter Long Weekend, from from 2pm Friday the 25th of March to 4pm Sunday 27th March, tickets are $149 (+bf) each and are on sale now.
