Hilltop Hoods Do Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Can’t Stop’ For Triple J Like A Version

Hilltop Hoods have returned to the triple j Like A Version studio for the first time in seven years. On their last visit, they performed a Beastie Boys rendition, this time they’ve taken on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Can’t Stop’.

They took along an entourage of musicians to effectively achieve that RHCP sound, including Phil Collins.

The Hoods didn’t change up the song too much or spin it into their own genre like we love in a Like A Version. But it’s still a sweet, sweet cover with brilliant layering and that Hilltop Hoods sound we know and love.

The Hilltop boys also performed their own ‘Leave Me Lonely’ bringing even more energy to it than they packed into the studio version.

During their original, Suffa took a moment to say, “If you see me in the street with my daughter please don’t yell out your car window ‘it’s a swan'”.

The Hoods are on tour in just a few months. They announced just this week that they’ll be hitting up arenas across Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth — check out dates here.
