Holy Holy Share Lockdown Cover Of Ball Park Music’s ‘Cherub’

Holy Holy have shared a cover of Ball Park Music‘s ‘Cherub’ from lockdown in Sydney. The band have shared the cover in lieu of their Winter In The Domain performance, which has been cancelled due to the lockdown.

Both bands were due to perform at the outdoor concert series, which was moved to this month after the original scheduled date in July was forced to be rescheduled due to border closures and restrictions.

However, with the current restrictions still in place until at least the end of August, the organisers announced on Thursday, 12th August that they would be cancelling the show altogether.

Holy Holy shared their ‘Cherub’ cover via Instagram, saying they are “very sad that ‘the best concert lineup of 2021’ (ref @ballparkmusic , 2021), is not going ahead.”

“As some consolation, we have done a lockdown-special cover of ‘Cherub’ by @ballparkmusic ; a beautiful song, we hope you enjoy our version. We loved making it, despite having to do so from separate states.”

BPM frontman Sam Clark responded to the cover on air with triple j by thanking the band.

“We love it,” he said. “We’ve known the [Holy Holy] peeps for years and have always loved their company. We were so genuinely looking forward to our show together. But look, we’ll get there.”
