Hopsin Shares New Track And Video ‘Crown Me’

After teasing his new single Crown Me with a pseduo-emotional track announcement, American MC Hopsin has now dropped the track in question, which is the first taste of his forthcoming album, Pound Syndrome.

In the track’s teaser video (below), which features solemn piano and some ‘acting’ from Hopsin, the rapper energises his fans, saying, “Are you tired of me being on some fucking bullshit, doing internet pranks to keep my buzz up, and knowing damn well I could go way harder but I don’t? I hear you.”

Renowned for his online following and for doing whatever the hell he wants, Hopsin recently racked up a $6,000 phone bill after giving his number out to fans, inadvertently revealing a unique new way getting your fans to hear you.

According to a recent interview with Sway’s Universe, Hopsin’s next album, Pound Syndrome, will be released on 24th July. But, as always, take that win a grain of salt — late last year, Hopsin declared he was quitting rap and moving to Australia, but that turned out to be a hoax.

“I’m releasing this album because I hear you, but you need to hear me,” Hopsin says. Go ahead and hear him in his latest single, below.
