Not everything is running smoothly at Field Day Festival in Sydney today. UK band Hot Chip, who were scheduled to perform a live set at 5:35pm, only delivered a short DJ set after organisers announced that the band’s gear had failed to arrive at the festival.
Punters vented their anger on the official Field Day Facebook page, with one angry fan writing, “Fuck you Field Day. Putting on a piss-weak DJ set when you advertise Hot Chip as headliners is just a poor effort”.
A few hours later organisers announced that the festival would be extended and Hot Chip would return at 11pm for a 30-minute live set.
