This Saturday, 2nd October, festival hero Hot Dub Time Machine (aka Sydney’s Tom Lowndes) will be raising money for Lifeline with his latest family-friendly Hot Dub At Home livestream.
Known as the world’s first, and finest, time travelling DJ—and better known for playing classic sets at events such as Splendour in the Grass, Coachella and Reading and Leeds Festival—Sydney’s Hot Dub Time Machine has become an experienced livestreamer over the past 18 months.
Lowndes frequently broadcasts from the DJ studio in his home while inviting viewers to share videos of their locked-down dance parties. Lowndes’ artist name is a reference to his dance-through-the-decades DJ sets, which typically take the form of audio-visual spectacles.
Now, to mark the beginning of Mental Health Month, Lowndes is partnering with Lifeline to raise money to support those struggling with their mental health. The Hot Dub At Home livestream will be held on HDTM’s Twitch channel and centre on the theme “I Feel Good”.
“Hot Dub at Home has always been about bringing some fun and joy into lockdown life and I constantly get messages from people saying how much it has helped them get through some grim times,” said Lowndes.
This will also be Lowndes’ final Hot Dub at Home livestream for the foreseeable future. All money raised will go towards helping this overworked, and very important institution.
