I, Valiance Join Soundwave Melbourne

The final cherry has been added on top of the Soundwave 2015 Melbourne bill, with locals I, Valiance announced as the lucky last lineup addition.

The “digital chicken metal” peddling Victorians have been included thanks to the triple j Unearthed Soundwave competition, which gives one emerging band from each state the opportunity to perform at the heavy music extravaganza, on the same bill as gargantuan international acts like Slipknot, Faith No More, Soundgarden and more.

I, Valiance broke the happy news to their Facebook followers overnight, with the message, “WE’RE PLAYING SOUNDWAVE MELBOURNE! SEE YOU THERE!” accompanied by a picture of three of the band members grasping placards, revealing that they would be performing at the festival on Saturday, February 21st (Slipknot Day).

They have the pleasure of being the second local addition announced for Soundwave courtesy of the Js, with Adelaide hardcore upstarts A Ghost Orchestra added to their home city’s leg of the festival, yesterday.

Local acts for the Sydney and Brisbane legs are expected to be announced shortly. Check out I, Valiance’s record, The Reject Of Humanity, via Bandcamp.
