Iconic UK Outfit Underworld Announce First Aussie Shows In Seven Years

Legendary UK electronic duo Underworld have announced that they’re returning to Australia to tour for the first time in seven years this April.

Hitting their peak in the 90s, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith broke through with Underworld’s seminal single ‘Born Slippy (Nuxx)’ in 1996.

Grabbing the #65 spot on triple j’s 2009 Hottest 100 Of All Time, ‘Born Slippy’ is also known for its use in iconic 1997 film Trainspotting, so their timing ahead of its much-anticipated sequel T2 Trainspotting is absolutely perfect.

Heading to Australia off the back of the success of their latest album, the Grammy nominated Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future, Underworld will play at the Sydney Opera House as well as at the State Theatre in Melbourne.
