Idris Elba is currently in Australia shooting Thor: Love & Thunder, and last night the British star made a surprise appearance at Lime Cordiale‘s gig at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.
The actor joined the band during a performance of their song ‘Unnecessary Things’, taken from the deluxe edition of their latest album 14 Steps to a Better You. Not only did Idris join the Leimbach brothers onstage, he even added some bars of his own for the onstage collaboration.

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph reports that the collaboration between Elba and Lime Cordiale goes beyond last night’s concert.
Music promoter Michael Chugg told the paper that the star had been in the studio with the band working on music together over the last couple of days. “He is absolutely in love with their music,” Chugg commented.
Lime Cordiale’s 14 Steps to a Better You originally arrived back in July of last year, scoring a J Award for Album of the Year and a slew of ARIA nominations. Its deluxe reissue, Relapse, was released in November, including ‘Unnecessary Things’ and five other new tracks.
