New York post-punkers Interpol have shared a new track ‘The Weekend’ with us along with news of an EP, A Fine Mess to come in May.
The follow up to their 2018 album, A Fine Mess is a collection of five tracks that were recorded in the same sitting as Marauder.
Marauder was recorded in late 2017 with Dave Fridmann.
‘The Weekend’ is the second offering off of the upcoming EP, following ‘Fine Mess’.
So far, the two new tracks build really well from Marauder with just a touch more synth and tighter production.
Interpol are now set to head out on a world tour in support of both the EP and last year’s album, hitting up the United States, South America, and Europe. They were last in Australia for Falls Festival 2018/2019, they did a couple of sideshows, visiting Sydney and Melbourne.
A Fine Mess is out Friday, 17th May via Matador.
