Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson Announces 2018 Australian Speaking Tour

Fresh from beating the shit out of his tongue cancer diagnosis, legendary Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson is coming to Australia to exercise the now 100 per cent cancer-free organ during a 2018 speaking tour.

The Chuck Norris of heavy metal has announced plans to head down under (sans Maiden) this October (and, let’s face it, he’ll probably still fly the plane here himself) to impart his mystical metal wisdom upon his loyal subjects in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Newcastle and Brisbane this October.

The tour will involve Q&As with fans, as Dickinson continues to promote his autobiography, What Does This Button Do?, which ticket-buyers will receive a signed copy of.

And we’re pretty sure everyone — not just those in the metal community — will be able to enjoy this rare chinwag with The Great Man. As well as fronting one of the greatest bands of all time, Bruce has led a ridiculously interesting life.

From getting booted out of boarding school for taking a piss in his headmaster’s coffee (yep that’s legit), to rescuing international football teams and endangered turtles in his Boeing 747, to his adventures as an Olympic-level fencer, military veteran, tank owner, accomplished screenwriter and ale brewer. Not to mention the aforementioned total cancer beatdown.

Yep. He’s basically the most awesome human alive.

Catch all the details for Bruce Dickinson’s 2018 Australian spoken word tour below.
