Ex-frontwoman of The Preatures, and now solo artist, Isabella Manfredi and her partner Rupert Parry have welcomed their first child: a daughter named Mina Donna.
In a post to Instagram, Manfredi posted a lil slideshow of the gorgeous new family, with the caption “Mina Donna. Born last Thursday June 24 on the Full Rose Moon”.
The slideshow opens with two sepia polaroids: the first of Manfredi and Mina Donna post-birth, followed by Parry and Mina Donna. The final two photos are colour images of the newborn baby sleeping.
It’s been a massive year for Manfredi. On the personal front, she got engaged and had her baby. On the career front, she’s been focused on launching her solo career since The Preatures announced that they would be splitting up. Manfredi cited the band’s breakup being due to her long-term relationship with guitarist Jack Moffit coming to an end.
“There was dynamics there that were really unhealthy, which just meant in the end for me, I had to get myself out of there,” she said in an interview with triple j.
“For me, the band was my family and I was so committed to it. But for my heart and my music, I had to take myself away and start again.”
She launched her solo career with ‘Jealousy’, a track Music Feeds described as “a new-wave pop earworm”.
