J-Pop Princess Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Announces Australian Shows

J-Pop princess Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has just dropped a hyper coloured news bomb on us, revealing she is returning to Australia.

After celebrating her 23rd Birthday with this bizarre video, which reveals her five goals to spread more “Japanes energy!” around the world, she’s playing two shows at Big Top in Sydney’s Luna Park and Melbourne’s Festival Hall.

Kyary’s arrival in June will be her first visit to Australia since she instantly sold-out her first Sydney show back in 2014, and the first time she’s visited Melbourne.

A global cultural sensation as one of the most recognisable J-Pop artists to crossover into the Western music world, she is an internet phenomenon with over 6 million followers on social media with her music videos having amassed upwards of 12 million views each.

With ticketing details to be announced shortly via touring company Handsome Tours, in the meantime if you’re unfamiliar with Kyary’s particular brand of super charged Kawaii cuteness check out this video guide to all the glorious madness that is her.
