Jack White has taken to social media to confirm that he’s currently putting together a brand new solo album.
Posting from the Twitter account for his label Third Man Records, White revealed that he’s been recording material for what will be his third solo album in both New York and L.A.
It seems he may have been going back and forth between the cities, with the image captions revealing the NY photo was taken on July 27th and the LA photo on July 30th.
White has not yet announced a title for the new album, which will be the follow-up to his 2014 LP Lazaretto.
If you can’t wait for White’s new record to be recorded and released, Third Man Records recently announced a vinyl reissue for the 10th anniversary of ‘Icky Thump’ that will include B-Sides and alternate versions.
White’s been busy outside music this year too, announcing that he’s writing a children’s picture book called ‘We’re Going To Be Friends’ inspired by The White Stripes track by the same name.
