English musician and DJ Jamie xx is back with a bang as he released his latest single ‘Baddy On The Floor’ featuring Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Honey Dijon. The song is released via Young / Remote Control.
“Baddy On The Floor” joins recent singles including “idontknow” (2020), “LET’S DO IT AGAIN’ and ‘KILL DEM’ (2022) and ‘It’s So Good’. Jamie xx involved his global fan base in the creation of his highly anticipated sophomore album and has been experimenting with new music in his sets since 2018.
Jamie xx – ‘Baddy On The Floor’
Initially, Jamie xx’s ‘Baddy On The Floor’ appeared at All Points East set in 2021, and it is the first collaboration between the two DJs and producers. Despite being on different continents, they connected during the pandemic and formed the song through video calls. Their previous meetings took place at events such as The xx’s Night + Day festival in Bilbao in 2018. and Jamie xx curated by Manchester Warehouse Project in 2021.
The release of “Baddy On The Floor” is hot on the heels of Jamie performing at Coachella, and headlining the Glastonbury Music Festival, Jamie xx revealed in an interview with Jack Saunders, that he is putting the finishing touches on his new album, which will be released later this year.
