Jared Leto Apologises To Taylor Swift & Her Fans For Criticising Her Music

Thirty Seconds To Mars’ Jared Leto has apologised to Taylor Swift and her fans after a video of him saying he doesn’t “give a fuck about her” surfaced online.

Yesterday, TMZ scored footage (below) of Leto and his bandmates listening to Swift’s latest album, the Grammy-nominated 1989, for some recording studio inspiration. The listening session wasn’t pretty though, as Leto shared his thoughts on Swift’s music.

After listening to Welcome To New York, Leto said, “I don’t like this at all. Next.” He seemed to enjoy some of Blank Space, but confused the lyric “Got a long list of ex-lovers” with “Starbucks lovers” (haven’t we all?). He even mentioned he wants to “steal” some of Swift’s tunes.

By the end of the video (below) Leto had had enough though, and said, “Fuck her. I don’t give a fuck about her. It’s whatever works best for us.” It’s unclear if Leto’s comments were in relation to the quality of Swift’s music or how her music sits in relation to that of Thirty Seconds To Mars, but Swifties everywhere have given Leto a piece of their mind…

…while others (possibly non-Swifties) had some other ideas.

Since the video was released and the Swifties had their say, Leto has taken to Twitter to apologise, and to say he actually thinks Swift is “amazing”.

Even though TMZ‘s video looks kind of set-up, let’s hope there’s no Bad Blood between Swift and Leto. Tay Tay is yet to publicly comment on Leto’s comments and apology.
