Jebediah are turning 20 and to celebrate the Aussie band are heading out on a national tour as well as releasing a greatest hits compilation titled Twenty.
Over two decades Kevin Mitchell (aka Bob Evans) and co have released five albums with four of them reaching the top ten in Australia. The 20th Anniversary tour will see them celebrate 20 years since forming as a band, performing a set full of hits as well as their debut Slightly Odway in full.
The tour will be complimented by the release of Twenty which cherry-picks their greatest songs from the five albums. It includes their debut breakthrough Jerks Of Attention as well as She’s Like A Comet, the first single from their most recent record Kosciuszko.
It shows that despite a career peppered with hiatus’ and side-projects the band has managed to maintain a loyal fan base through consistently solid albums. The secret to their longevity, says guitarist Chris Daymond, “is nothing more complicated than friendship”.
“It’s just always been such a pleasure being with those dudes. And the chemistry hasn’t changed. It was good fun then and it’s good fun now.”
A number of different bands will be joining Jebediah on tour to celebrate, some of who are reforming just for the occasion. Special guests include Front End Loader, Fur, Red Jezebel, Turnstyle and Screamfeeder.

Twenty will released on May 29th through Sony Music Australia and will also be released as a limited edition, collectors vinyl set, mastered specifically for optimum sound quality.
UPDATE 24/03/15: Jebediah have added a second Melbourne show to their 20th anniversary tour. The new date will take place at The Corner on Saturday, 20th June. It’s unclear who will be the support act at the newly-announced show. Fur are set to open the group’s first Melbourne show. Ticket details are available below.
UPDATE 30/03/15: Due to overwhelming demand, Jebediah have added a third Melbourne show to the tour, to take place at The Corner on Thursday, 18th June. They have also confirmed that only a few tickets are available for the Saturday show at the same venue, via the Jebediah website.
UPDATE 27/04/15: The Jebs have announced a 4th and final Melbourne show at the Corner Hotel for Wednesday June 17th, and have confirmed some extra guests for the upcoming shows.
Joining Jebediah in Sydney on Thursday June 4th and in Melbourne on Wednesday June 17th will be Bodyjar. Adalita will play with the band in Melbourne on Thursday, 18 June. Fur will be back at the Corner in Melbourne on Saturday June 20th for an encore performance following their Friday night appearance and Beaverloop will be reforming especially to support the Jebs in Perth on Sunday, 28th June.
