Jennifer Lopez Hints At Her Music Retirement

Jennifer Lopez, the renowned singer, actress, and businesswoman, has hinted that her upcoming album, This Is Me… Now, could potentially be her final album, which is set to be released on February 16. The upcoming album marks Lopez’s first studio LP in ten years.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jennifer Lopez expressed uncertainty about her future in music, stating, “The truth is I don’t even know if I’ll ever make another album after this.” She described the project as quintessentially ‘Jennifer Lopez’ and emphasized her sense of fulfillment, suggesting that her albums may become collector’s items in the future.

Although Jennifer Lopez appeared to realize the weight of her statement, jokingly cautioning not to disclose her thoughts to her manager, Benny Medina, she said: “Don’t tell Benny that that’s what I’m thinking, this might be my last album ever.”

This Is Me… Now serves as a sequel to Jennifer Lopez’s third studio album, This Is Me… Then, released in 2002. Reflecting on the significance of her latest project, Lopez remarked, “I feel like it’s the end of a kind of an era for me and the beginning of a new one.” She also conveyed her excitement about the album’s release while acknowledging the immense effort she invested in its creation.

As fans anticipate the release of her ninth studio album, they may also reflect on the possibility that it could mark a last and significant milestone in Lopez’s career.
