US singer and songwriter Jenny Lewis is soon to be in the country for all the Splendour In The Grass festivities and has today announced her only headline Splendour sideshow.
Lewis’ one and only Australian headline show will take plave on Wednesday 22nd July at Sydney’s Newtown Social Club. While in the country she will also be supporting her friend Ryan Adams on his sold-out Melbourne and Sydney full band sideshows.
At her shows Lewis will be playing cuts from her acclaimed third solo LP, The Voyager, which was produced by Ryan Adams, Beck, Mike Viola and Lewis’ longtime collaborator Johnathan Rice.
The album includes Lewis’ latest single, She’s Not Me which comes armed with a video paying homage to her child actress past. Directed by Lewis, the clip features Portlandia actor Fred Armisen, Saturday Night Live cast member Vanessa Bayer, Zosia Mamet who plays Shoshanna on Girls, Leo Fitzpatrick (Kids, Broad City), and Canadian singer Feist.
