Jesswar Tackles A Limp Bizkit Classic For The Return Of Triple J Like A Version

Fijian-born rapper Jesswar has gifted the nation with an absolute doozy for the return of Like A Version, dropping a cover of Limp Bizkit’s iconic 2000 rager ‘Rollin’. Backed by a three-piece band and DJ, the rapper made easy work of Fred Durst’s lines whilst her crew held it down, with the final result being both rawer and punkier than the original superhit.

Speaking on the making of the cover the rapper, real name Jessica Koroi, noted the originals’ seamless blend of rap and rock for a maximum adrenaline hit, as well as citing the nostalgia of the early 2000s.

“It’s such a cool contrast – it has great energy”, she said.

“It was very different for me to come onto it because I’m quite chill in person…it was cool to get a bit wild on it.”

Jesswar also performed ‘BAD LIKE RIRI’ for her original, which was only released to the public last week.

An ode Rihanna, it shows off Jesswar’s effortlessly cool delivery, anchored by razor-sharp production. Check out her full LAV below.
