The Australian Open’s 2019 music lineup just got bigger, with the addition of a string of new acts, including the likes of Jet, Birds Of Tokyo, You Am I and Ball Park Music.
While Craig David and Bastille led the competition’s first lineup announcement earlier this month, the AO Live Stage has now secured more performances, including from Something For Kate, Conrad Sewell and The Teskey Brothers.
The AO Live Stage will feature 15 days of live music during the Australian Open this January, situated under a purpose-built shade structure at the middle terrace of Birrarung Marr park.
“The latest AO Live Stage lineup announcement is full of incredible Australian artists, showcasing just how many more than ever great Australian artists there are,” says Mushroom Events CEO Michael Gudinski.
“After 15 days of music at the Australian Open it will be wonderful to see Melbourne band Jet back on stage where they belong, celebrating what will be a wonderful couple of weeks at Melbourne Park.”
Entrance to the AO Live Stage requires either a ground pass or an Australian Open stadium ticket.
More musical acts are still to be announced, but until then, peep the latest lineup additions in full, below.
