Jimmy Barnes, frontman of Cold Chisel, has hit back at reports that he is going to be joining next year’s season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, saying “there is absolutely no truth to that rumour.”
Taking to Facebook to vent his frustration over the Daily Telegraph’s reports, Barnes went on to say that, “I don’t do or watch those reality shows”, adding, “I’m a singer, not a celebrity.”
His fans were quick to voice their support in the comments too, signalling he probably made the right decision in refusing to appear on the show.
“Good on you Jimmy, you are one of the few who don’t get involved with these trash tv shows,” said one fan. Another took it even further, posting, “thank god, I hate reality shows with a passion,” while a another added, “onya Barnsey. Reality shows are mind numbing rubbish.”
It wasn’t all hatred of reality shows mind you, with a couple of Barnes’ fans putting their hands up for him to reconsider.
“I love…love ..love reality shows and I would love to see you on one….you would be REAL…,” suggested one.
Oh well, you can’t please everyone, although the staff here at Music Feeds are loving hearing Jimmy stick it to reality TV. Never change Barnsey.
