From London to New York, from Hamburg to Helsinki, from Bangkok to Nashville – Joe Robinson is carving a path as one of the world’s next guitar superstars.
He’s only just turned 18 years old and has performed over 1000 concerts and developed an infectious jaw- dropping guitar style that has to heard to be believed. With accolades abounding from industry guitar greats such as Australia’s Tommy and Phil Emmanuel and international superstars such as Dweezil Zappa, Steve Vai, Elliot Randall (Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Yoko Ono), Frank Vignola (Les Paul, Madonna, Donald Fagan), and Mike Durham (Nashville session great, Tim Mc Graw, Jewel, Dave Matthews), Joe Robinson must certainly be hitting the right notes!
Having spent the past two months in Nashville and New York, networking with some of worlds most influential managers, and record label executives whilst mingling with some of the worlds best guitar players, such as Brent Mason, Tommy Emmanuel, Duane Eddy, Bucky Pizzarelli, and Vince Gill, Joe recently ventured to Hollywood to take part in the World Championships of Performing Arts. With over 75,000 applicants from 40 countries the awards include categories from dance, modelling, acting to singing and instrumentalists. Joe took out the title of Senior Grand Champion of the World which is the highest achievement one can get for these awards; he was the first instrumentalist to ever win and also the youngest.
Joe will be joined on the ‘electric project’ tour with bass legend Chris Haig (Goldrush, Jimmy Barnes, Reneé Geyer) and Sam Marks a 19 year old groove virtuoso himself!
