A rally for republican presidential candidate/combover king Donald Trump has been shut down after protesters chanting the lyrics to Kendrick Lamar‘s Alright disrupted the Chicago event.
As Consequence Of Sound points out, the To Pimp A Butterfly track has emerged as a powerful protest song against police brutality, systemic oppression, and racism in the US.
However, what started as a peaceful protest swiftly erupted into chaos – even violence – causing officials to cancel the scheduled display of casual evil pro-Trump sentiment.

The events sparked a heated Twitter discussion between The Donald’s son and R&B heavyweight John Legend, who branded Trump a “racist” (which is kind of like saying “the Sydney Central station tunnel smells a lot like piss” – everyone knows it, but no matter how much it stinks, it’s easiest to just accept it and keep moving).
When Trump Jr. tweeted about the Chicago protesters, sneering: “Ha 5 students when asked why they were protesting couldn’t even answer. The participation medal/micro aggression generation is pretty sad!”, Legend’s response was razor sharp:
.@DonaldJTrumpJr I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn't complicated.

The singer also retweeted some biting anti-Trump tweets from others, including Josh Groban, who said: “When Trump says ‘I’d hate for anyone to get hurt’ I can just see his miniature orange fingers crossed behind his back’.”
Naturally, Trump trolls crawled out of their various toilets to sling shit at Legend, including one particularly ironic pearler from a Trump supporter named – and this is legit – ‘RedKneckHillBilly’, which Legend saw fit to responded to:
.@DanielT03571138 @DonaldJTrumpJr the Donalds and I graduated from the same University, funny enough.

That happens to be University of Pennsylvania btw, where Legend graduated with a degree in English with a focus on African American literature.
And to drive the point home, the singer then went on to remind the haters of acts of alleged discrimination committed by Trump’s real estate empire back in the 1970’s.
Yes, Trump trolls. I'm the real racist. https://t.co/xzgMsEPeh4

Since making his bid for president, Donald Trump’s rhetoric surrounding immigration and race relations has drawn numerous comparisons to Adolf Hitler and even fictional evildoer Lord Voldemort (from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling herself).

There’s still a hell of a long way to go before November, when Trump will (unfortunately) in all likelihood have decent chance of actually contesting the US Presidency.
But until then, you should watch and share the shit out of this mind-blowingly epic video of genius comedian John Oliver artfully and hilariously dismantling every excuse US Trump Drumpf supporters have used to justify their endorsement of the real estate tycoon as America’s next POTUS.
