John Mayer has today announced a string of headline dates in Australia, following hot on the news that the singer-songwriter will be heading our way to perform at West Coast Blues & Roots, Byron Bay’s Bluesfest and Deni Blues Festival.
Mayer is touring off the back of studio album number six, Paradise Valley, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA charts. The 35-year-old’s current 40-date world tour is his first following a three year hiatus due to a throat granuloma, which prevented him from touring after his last offering, 2012’s highly-acclaimed Born And Raised.
Vermont rock outfit Grace Potter & The Nocturnals will be supporting Mayer on all dates, marking their second trip to Oz after killer sets at West Coast and Bluesfest last year. The Australian tour kicks off in Adelaide on 15th April, before taking the show to Melbourne and Sydney. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, 25th October.
