Australia’s shining son of heartfelt folk and acoustic pop Josh Pyke has announced he will be embarking on a run of select regional shows in January next year following on from his recent run of sellout shows in capital cities. The Only Sparrows Regional Tour 2012, named after Pyke’s most recent album which saw the artist make his third debut in the ARIA Chart Top Five, will travel across the country, finishing with a headline slot at the Corinbank Festival in Canberra.
The album, which was written while Pyke was on the road and living in New York City, has seen the artist leap forward as both a songwriter and musician. Receiving critical acclaim from the mainstream and music media for his progression as a songwriter, Only Sparrows is an album that marks Pyke’s further growth as an artist.
